Over $400,000 - Runner Up: McLaren F1
|
 |
There
are only 3 problems with the McLaren F1. Firstly, its top track
speed is unknown, some say 231 mph, some say 240 mph and some
even guess 243 mph. Secondly, it is nearly impossible to find
an F1 for sale if you wish to buy it. |
 |
Finally,
there is the small issue of the price. When it was first released,
the F1 cost $890,000, but if you want to buy one today it will
cost you over 1 million dollars. The F1 is powered by a 627
bhp, 6.1 litre V12 engine. |
 |
Featuring
a central driving position, the F1 was built completely around
the driver. It zooms from 0-60 mph in only 3.2 seconds and runs
the 1/4 mile in just 11.1. While the F1 is nearing its 10th
birthday, it will always be considered a classic. |
